Friday! Oh, I’ve missed you.
I think I successfully found every possible way to distract myself from doing what really needed to be done this week. If you need some procrastination inspiration, read on. I caught up on all my TV shows, watched every “Carpool Karaoke” segment from the James Corden show on YouTube, searched #beach, #vacation, #bestvacation on Instagram, created a secret “wallpaper” board on Pinterest (that’s right, wallpaper), read books on my Kindle app, FaceTimed nightly with my sister, Googled “The Best Things to Google,” and took too many pictures of my dog. And, that’s all in addition to my actual job.
As you can probably imagine, I’m exhausted—and, so happy that the weekend is finally here! Let’s kick it off the right way with some Friday Favorites:
One day, when my husband and I have our first, official home, a tufted, upholstered headboard is going to be one of the first pieces of furniture I invest in. I dream of a headboard like this one from House of Jade Interiors.
My hair is seriously boring lately. I’m always looking for new ways to spruce up my everyday hair routine. I really like this list of 10 Easy Hairstyles that Marie Claire says you can do in “literally 10 seconds.” 10 seconds? I can definitely handle that.
This pretty much sums up my week. I didn’t tackle much on my to-do list, but I did breeze through two books on my Kindle app (all my DVR’d television shows, and maybe one or two movies on Netflix). Priorities. I’ll adult next week. (Found on Pinterest, my other main distraction.)
I was thinking earlier this week—after scrolling through picture after picture of warm, tropical places on Instagram, I haven’t been on a true vacation (specifically somewhere beachy) in over a year. This spring, my only wish is to be lounging in the sand with a view of the ocean. (Found on Pinterest)
Isn’t this cactus print wall fun? I’ve been pinning a lot of bold wallpaper ideas on Pinterest lately. I especially love the watercolor look of this pattern—it makes a statement for sure. I’m not positive it’s the same print shown here, but you can find wallpaper just like this from anewalldecor on Etsy.
If you think about it, quesadillas really don’t get the credit they deserve. Melted cheese in a warm tortilla? What’s not to love? After scrolling through this list of 29 Life-Changing Quesadillas You Need to Know About on BuzzFeed, I’m seriously craving one.
Valentine’s Day may have come and gone, but when I came across Braden Grabber’s “Food is My Valentine” blog post—I was feeling the love. Plus, my love for pie is always relevant.
This picture from The Everygirl + the latest J.Crew catalog, has me dreaming of warmer temps and less layers. I’ve hit my limit of dark, oversized sweaters this season. I’m ready for a little color and sheer and flowy fabrics.
Have a Happy Weekend. See you next Friday! xx, Devon
