Well, full disclosure I just can’t get my act together lately. Between work, some travel to visit family, and growing this tiny human, I’m tired, y’all! While I’m so happy it’s finally Friday and we’ve made it to the weekend, I have to tell you, it’s late on Thursday night, I have to switch positions in my chair every few minutes because I just can’t get comfortable, and I’m typing like a mad woman trying to pull this post together. Without any more complaining (from me) let’s get to it! Here are some things I’m loving this week:
I’ve been asked a few times if I’m having any pregnancy food cravings. And while my eating habits haven’t changed that much, there is one thing I just can’t get enough of—-frozen treats: ice cream, popsicles and smoothies! I’m drooling over these fruity rainbow froyo popsicles I found on How Sweet It is. Don’t they look good?
There’s nothing I don’t like about these grey kitchen cabinets. Found on Dust Jacket.
I had to cancel some work-related travel arrangements today and I knew good and well I had missed the cancelation window. I figured there would probably be a penalty to pay, but the lady I spoke to was really helpful and understanding and to my surprise she waived the fee and canceled the reservation without hesitation. So, I made it a point to let her know how much I appreciated her and her understanding. I’m feeling like right now we could all use a little more kindness and love. Even when I feel crumby, I’m consciously trying to find the good and positive in every situation. It’s really amazing what it does for your outlook and mood. And in turn, it usually helps do the same for others around you. Found on Instagram.
Since my husband and I work from home these days—and our home just happens to be a one bedroom apartment, I’m always looking for ways to keep my work clutter organized and tidy. Glitter Guide’s article on 3 Easy Tips for Reorganizing Your Home Office sounds especially helpful.
Lobster Rolls > Almost Everything
I’m a sucker for a lobster roll. Doesn’t this version, topped with potato chips, from Food & Wine look especially delicious?
A jumpsuit is a great solution when you’re not quite sure what to wear. They’re an easy, one-piece outfit—just add accessories and you’re ready to go. Looking for some jumpsuit inspiration? Look no further, Refinery29 put together a list of the best 17 looks.
I especially love this metal canopy bed and the pillows. You can find this room and more inspiration like this on Decor Pad.
This recipe from Not Without Salt looks right up my alley. My husband made grilled fish tacos the other night. They were so good and ever since I’ve been looking for similar grilled recipes to try. I’m definitely adding this one to the list.
See you next Friday! xx, Devon
