It’s Friday! After a productive week of crossing things off the to-do list, I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend—celebrating my husband’s birthday, preparing for an upcoming mini vacation with my family, and catching up on a little sleep.
Here are a few other things I’ve been up to lately. I’m currently…
Y’all these sandals from Old Navy are under $30. They’re comfortable, cute and affordable—if you’re looking for an on-trend sandal you can wear straight through summer, this is it.
After months of anticipation, Clean Juice just opened nearby. I wake up thinking about their ‘The So Basic One’ smoothie. It’s the perfect blend of strawberries, banana, almond butter, maple syrup and almond milk. So good.
I’ve seen straw beach totes everywhere lately. I’ve had my eye on this one from Target.
Next week I’m spending some much needed time with my family in Charleston, South Carolina. Then, we’ll have some special visitors next weekend in Charlotte too. I’ve been thinking about this week for a while now and I couldn’t be more excited for a few days away from work spending time with my favorite people. I love this Charleston watercolor print by Madeleine Francis.
Mmmmm, shrimp and grits. I’ve been thinking about this delicious dish, since I came across this picture on one of my favorite Charlotte-based Instagram accounts, Charlotte Lately, a few months ago. Can’t wait to visit Hominy Grill next week and taste it for myself!
I’ve used my Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette for years. And sadly, All my favorite shades have dwindled down to broken bits at this point. So, I decided it was time to find a replacement. When I came across Urban Decay’s Naked 2 Basics set, a more condensed version with just the neutrals, I knew this would get the job done.
I just can’t get enough of it. And oddly enough, it’s been on sale every time I’ve been to the grocery store in recent weeks. Is this a sign? I think so. Right now, the flavor of the week is mint chocolate chip. This delicious cone is from Jeni’s in Chicago.
Today is this guy’s 30th Birthday! Mike, I hope you have the best birthday and an even better 30th year. I’m so lucky to celebrate this and every day with you. I love you!
