T.G.I.F! AmIright? I’m not quite sure what I’ll be doing this weekend, but after the work week I’ve had, I can tell you with 100% certainty it will have absolutely nothing to do with spreadsheets. It’s been a beautiful week in Charlotte, NC—I’ve been staring longingly out my window, wishing I was outside enjoy the sunshine and warmth rather than sitting at my desk. So, this weekend I’m looking forward to doing just that. Here are a few more things I’m up to lately. I’m currently…
Ask me any day what my favorite color is and I’ll probably say black. It’s slimming and goes with everything. But lately, I’ve really been drawn to more bright and bold colors. I came across this color palette inspiration on Be Crafty.
Maybe it’s the beautiful weather we’ve had in Charlotte or maybe it’s just my love of dining al fresco, but lately I’ve had to urge to find a picturesque park and set up a picnic. I came across this post of “12 Secrets For The Perfect Picnic,” on Design Mom and thought there were a lot of great tips for picnic packing.
For my everyday makeup routine, I don’t wear a lot of lipstick, but I usually like to finish my look with a neutral gloss. Problem is, I haven’t found a nude color I love yet. This set by Charlotte Tilbury looks like a good option.
I came across these glasses at Anthropologie last weekend. I have a slight issue with plastic cups—don’t ask me why, because I really can’t explain it. But, a collection of colorful glasses is right up my alley.
Unfortunately, I’m not sure if I can find a good lobster roll in Charlotte, NC. Really, I’d love to have the real deal in New England, but since that probably won’t happen any time soon, I’ve been thinking about making my own. This recipe from The Suburban Soapbox looks especially delicious.
This tree in particular is blooming right here in my neighborhood. Isn’t it beautiful? Hey, spring, let’s do this!
Tacos are way up towards the top of my list of favorite foods. What’s not to love about a fun and festive taco themed party. (I’m actually a little upset I never considered taco a theme before this.) Check out more of this fiesta decor on 100 Layer Cake.
I bought Elizabeth Gilbert’s “Big Magic” this week. I read Eat, Pray, Love about nine years ago and it’s a book I still think about. It may have been the chapter of my life I was in, but the story and it’s message really struck a cord with me. You can find out more about Gilbert’s latest book, which promises how to teach you how to be fearlessly creative, on Popsugar.
Have a nice weekend, y’all. See you next Friday! xx, Devon
